Basso Astra 105 Men's Road Bike - 2018
Can be purchased using Cycle to work
Raced by professionals around the world, the Astra is hand made in Italy for those with an eye for detail. A hi-modulus carbon fibre monocoque frame is stiff and light and, by avoiding the use of aluminium inserts, the weight can be reduced even further.
The Basso Astra is equipped with Basso’s own stem and headset spacers which help to increase the rigidity of the steering, as well as completing the overall look of the bike. This, combined with the frame’s tube shapes, helps make the Astra incredibly torsionally stiff and reactive.
Shimano’s 105 5800 takes care of shifting duties, giving you the slick performance and looks you’d expect from the Japanese giant. Microtech aluminium handlebars and wheels and a carbon seatpost from Basso finish the build.
