With the Gain, Orbea have truly broken new ground when it comes to electronically assisted bicycles. An innovative hub based motor system keeps things looking discreet and more importantly helps the Gain handle just like a conventional bike. Scroll to find out more.
The Orbea Gain
Excitingly the Gain platform has been rolled out across a huge selection of models, ensuring there’ll be one for most rider’s needs. Gain ‘M’ models are carbon framed and are available in road or all-road variations, the same goes for ‘D’ models which feature aluminium frames rather than carbon. F40, F30, F20 and F10 are urban models designed with flat bars, a comfortable riding position and a componentry specification to suit urban, commuting and leisure use.
IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO TELL THAT THE GAIN IS AN E-BIKE AT FIRST GLANCE.

A single interface for charging, system diagnosis or attaching an external backup battery, the CAN (Controller Area Network) port removes the need for a multitude of wires, ports and accessories.
A smooth, linear power assist requires an advanced sensor and the Gain utilises another sleek solution. The cassette lock ring holds 20 individual magnets that are detected by a sensor located within the rear dropout. As you pedal the entire system monitors your input and adjusts the system accordingly.
Multiple Bikes In One
Road, light off-road use and commuting; the Orbea Gain can take all of these rides in its stride. To make the Gain this versatile, Orbea have designed the platform to cater for up to 40mm tyres. You can also add mudguards and a rack safely and securely with integrated mounts included on most models.
The Gain’s iWoc control system is easily controlled when paired with the smartphone and smartwatch compatible app. Fancy adjusting the power of each mode, tracking your ride or uploading a GPS route? These things are all possible in the app, making the Gain an even more intelligent bike.
