The Raleigh Abstrakt has been designed using the latest highlight colours against a black paint finish, designed to achieve a high end sophistication made for boy racers who want to make a serious statement on the street. Plus in its fiery Red design it’s sure to appeal to their inner boy racer.

The Abstrakt has been designed with low rise handlebars to promote a good riding position and help children to be more aware of their surroundings. It has a hi-tensile steel frame with oversized tubes for increased strength and includes a V-brake modulator which regulates the force applied to the front aluminium V-brake resulting in smoother braking. Plus aluminium/resin brake levers, have been selected because they are easily operated by little fingers and are fitted with an adjustment screw to alter the sizing dependent on the size of your child’s hands.

The Abstrakt features a suspension fork making the bike perfect for riding on most surfaces by smoothing out any terrain bumps. The Abstrakt also boasts full Shimano transmission which includes Shimano freewheels, derailleurs and Shimano Revoshift shifters; a component mix that will improve your child's experience of learning how to change gears. In our experience, this style of gear shifter is easier for children to operate as it enables them to easily keep their hands fully on the handlebar while changing gear reducing those unwanted wobbles! The bike also has rear derailleur protection which prevents damage to the gears if the bike is dropped to the ground.

Safety is a key concern when designing our children’s bikes and all components are designed to make riding as safe as possible for your child. Aluminium rims have been added to provide an improved surface for the brake blocks to brake against plus Raleigh’s special junior non-slip pedals have been fitted with rubber pads to prevent feet slipping off. Each pair of non-slip pedals is carefully colour matched to fit the bike design.

We focus on every detail of design when it comes to our children’s bikes, and the Abstrakt is no exception; with a printed saddle and graphics applied under a clear coat to ensure they don't fade or become damaged over time, longevity and enjoyment are provided in great measure.
