Delivery and Returns

Waiting on some new parts or kit? Whether it’s some spares to get you back on the road or a kit upgrade, we know you don’t want to be waiting around to get your hands on it!

You can have your order delivered to your home or work address or a collection point, or you can use our free Click and Collect service and pick up your order from a Cycle Republic store. On this page, you can find out more about our delivery services.

During peak periods, times for delivery and collection may be extended. We’ll show the delivery or collection date for your specific order at the checkout, so check this date when you order to see your delivery or collection time.

Please note that free delivery is only available on orders over £10. Some large items are not eligible for free delivery.

For packages up to 100cm, orders are sent with DPD. Large items such as work stands, wheels, child seats, frames, and forks are sent with DX.

Returns

We’ve made our returns process as simple as possible at Cycle Republic, to help you cut out the faff and get rolling as soon as possible. You can find out more information about our returns policy on this page.

Unwanted goods

If you decide that you don’t want an item that you have had delivered from us, we’re happy to give you a refund or exchange within 28 days of delivery. Items need to be returned unused in their original packaging along with the original packaging note and copy invoice (as proof of purchase).

Faulty goods

Current consumer legislation states that items must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If you purchase a product online which is found to be faulty within 30 days then you are entitled to a full refund of the faulty product. Should a fault occur after the initial 30 days, we are entitled to repair and/or replace that item. If it cannot be repaired or replaced, then you may be entitled to a refund. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office.

For faulty items, we advise you to return the item to a Cycle Republic store. This is the quickest and simplest way to get your refund or exchange. If you can’t get to a Cycle Republic store, please contact us. If you return a faulty item by post, the cost of postage will be refunded once we’ve received the item and checked the fault.

When you return a faulty item to us, we will either examine it ourselves or send it to the manufacturer to be examined. Where applicable, a refund will be sent to your account within 30 days.

How to return an item

There are a few ways to return items to us:

In store

You can return items for free at any Cycle Republic store. Just fill in the returns form that came with your order and take this, along with your proof of purchase, to the store. Our colleagues will be able to refund your payment onto the card you paid with or offer an exchange.

Free DPD returns

For parcels sent via our courier, DPD (everything other than large items or bikes), there will be a returns label in your parcel. You can use this to return your items to us for free at any DPD collection point. You can find your nearest DPD collection point by clicking here. Lost your label? DX collection for larger items

Larger products (such as work stands, wheels, child seats, frames, and forks) are sent by our other courier, DX. If you’d like to return one of these, we offer a courier collection service. A £12 charge applies for this service. To request this service, get in touch with Customer Services on (+44) 01527 505618. Please note:

  • Collections need a minimum of two working days’ notice.
  • Someone will need to be available and to sign when your package is collected.
  • Collections can only be made Monday – Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
  • Collection will take place between 9am and 6pm. Unfortunately, exact times can’t be given.
  • Please re-pack the item securely. It’s best to re-use the packaging that you received the item from us in.
  • You’ll be refunded within 30 days.

By post

If you prefer, you can return your items to us by post. Fill out the returns note included with your order and attach the return address label included with your delivery. If you’ve lost the note, don't worry! Contact us and we'll be able to give you a new one to print out. All the information you need to fill in a new note can be found in your invoice. It’s best to re-use the original packaging to send the items back and to make sure everything is securely packaged. Cycle Republic can’t be held responsible for any damage caused during posting.

Returns made by post are at your own expense. We recommend using a tracked service and obtaining proof of postage. Keep this proof of postage until we have confirmed that your return has been processed. If you’re returning an unwanted item, make sure your item arrives in time for us to get it within 28 days of you receiving your order.

Getting a refund with Paypal

If you need to get a refund on an item that you paid for with Paypal, just present your proof of purchase in store. Alternatively, if you call Customer Services, they’ll be able to refund your account on receipt of the returned goods.

Special offers and promotional items

If you’d like to return an item that was bought online as part of a promotion such as ‘Buy One, Get One Free’, ‘3 for 2’, or ‘Buy One, Get One Half Price’, unfortunately you’ll need to return all of the items involved in the offer.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Bike Delivery and Returns

Ordering a bike

When you order a bike from us, it’ll be built and inspected by one of our qualified mechanics – no matter whether you’re picking it up from a store or having it delivered to your home or work address.

You’ll be able to see the available delivery options on the product page, and the earliest time you can get your bike or estimated delivery date will be shown at the checkout.

Collecting your bike from a store

If you order your bike online and choose to collect it from a store, we’ll call you in advance to find out what time you’ll be collecting. Once we know this, we’ll get to work on putting your bike together in time for you to pick it up.

Having your bike delivered

Your new bike will be professionally inspected and assembled by us before being boxed up and sent to you. All you’ll need to do is straighten the handlebars and add your pedals and you’re good to go!

Returning a bike

Just like any other purchase from Cycle Republic, we’re happy to offer an exchange or refund on a bike that you have had delivered if you decide that you do not want it within 28 days of delivery. The bike must be unused in the original packaging along with the original packing note and proof of purchase. You can do this for free at any one of our stores.

You can also return bikes by courier. This service costs £25, and the bike must be repacked back into the box as it was delivered. To arrange a collection, get in touch with our Customer Services team on (+44) 01527 505618. Please note the following:

  • Collections require a minimum of two days’ notice.
  • Someone will need to be available and to sign at the time of collection.
  • Collections will take place between 9am and 6pm. Unfortunately, we can’t give exact times.
  • Your account will be refunded within 30 days.

If you think your bike might be faulty, get in touch with our Customer Services team or head to your local store. They’ll be able to help you out with the returns process.

Click and Collect

Not all of us like waiting in for deliveries when we could be out riding. That’s why we’ve got a free Click and Collect service. Just place your order online, and then pick it up from your nearest Cycle Republic. Just bring along some photo ID so that we can check you’re you before we hand over your order!

Place your order before 3pm and you can collect your order from two working days later (exceptions apply). To find out exactly when your order will be ready for you to pick up, check out the delivery section on the product page, or see your delivery times in the checkout.

Bike builds 

If you’ve ordered a bike via click and collect, we’ll give you a call as soon as it arrives in store and arrange a time to build your bike and hand it over. The bike will arrive in our store in up to 2 working days, and during busy times it might take up to 3 working days to build.
