As winter slowly ebbs away, spring heralds the start of a new cycling season - albeit with its own set of riding challenges. The merest hint of sunshine is a great opportunity to wear that new short sleeve jersey, ride in shorts instead of tights or ditch the long finger gloves for mitts. Just don’t forget a lightweight jacket should you ride into an April shower!

If you’ve ridden through the colder months its pretty likely that your bike has taken a beating with mud, rain and grime. A bike service is the best way to get your pride and joy purring again. Similarly, if your bike has been confined to the garage be sure to look over the key things - drivetrain, brakes, wheels and tyres – at the bare minimum before you decide to ride.
