About SRAM

An acronym of the names of its founders, Scott, Ray and Sam, the SRAM story began in 1988 with their now infamous grip shifter. After that gear shifter was adapted for early mountain bikes, SRAM quickly began to fly. Today the SRAM family includes Rockshox, Truvativ, Zipp and Quarq.

Many a bike brand (and riders too!) choose to furnish their bikes with SRAM components. On the road, SRAMs RED eTap AXS and Force eTap AXS 12 speed represent a new pinnacle in road bike componentry. SRAM have got mountain bikers covered too – there’s a range of gearing for XC, downhill, Enduro and trail riding use. On its release in 2016, SRAMs 1x12 Eagle drivetrain was drowned in praise – no surprise then when it filtered down to SRAMs lower end groupsets.
